Job Description

Job Title: Contracts Administrator ( Procurement Operations)

Department: Supply Chain Management (SCM)

Business Unit/Team: Ghana Business

Unit Location: Accra

Reports To: Projects  & Engineering Category Lead

Job Purpose:

  • To support in-country procurement, generally dealing with material and services call-offs, accounts payable processes interface, vendor issues, general contract administration and cross-departmental support
  • Post award administration requirements and the reporting of contractor performance management

Responsibilities /Key Objectives:

Advertisement
  • Assists in obtaining post award performance data from suppliers, including local content performance data
  • Assists in administration of contracts and orders through to close out
  • Creates and issues call-offs against Framework Agreements
  • Ensures all contract documentation is properly filed, both in hardcopy and softcopy
  • Raises all necessary SAP Purchase Orders
  • Assists in addressing associated variations and claims with contractors
  • Provides support to Projects / Engineering team or contract/budget holder in support of the contract management process, on post-award administration matters
  • Provides regular reports on activities
  • Attends progress meetings and presents updates as required
  • Undertakes other duties within his or her capability or qualification level as may be reasonably required

Person Specification

 

Experience and Education:

  • Minimum 3 years in contracts and procurement Industrial operations / project experience, preferably in Oil and Gas environment
  • Degree or Diploma in a business or management related subject.
  • CIPS preferred

Skills:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with diverse business drivers and variables
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Proven capabilities to perform as a team player
  • Report construction and writing.
  • Strong administrative skills
  • English language and numeric skills.
  • High level of competency in MS Word and Excel

Work Schedule:

Normal Company business hours Monday to Friday

Additional hours as business demands require and in accordance with HR Policy
