Accra Jobs for System Administrator

Duties:

• Design, develop, maintain and administer data applications
• Provide configuration management for and troubleshoot local area and/or wide area networks
• Establish network standards and training programmes
• Install and upgrade network operating system and network-based applications
• Evaluate and analyze networking needs and provide for integration of multiple hardware and operating system platforms within network systems
• Provide network security and back-up and restoration of user files as well as assist in the monitoring of network performance
• Use appropriate applications, programming languages, databases and analytic tools to gather, compile and analyze qualitative information and statistical data relating to academic programmes
• Design, build and up-load of back-up database systems for various units and departments of the institution

Location: Near Wesley Grammar Senior High School, Dansoman – Accra
 

Required Skills or Experience

Candidate must:

• Possess MSc. or equivalent in Computer Science/Information Technology OR Have a good first degree in Computer Science plus an MBA (MIS) or related area
• Have at least two (2) years relevant post-qualification experience in a tertiary institution or a reputable organization
