Job Vacancies:

1. First-Line Supervisors of Attendants & Material Movers

Our Client, a service oriented recreational mining support company with head quarters in Accra and operations based in Tarkwa, intends to recruit competent persons for the following position.

Core Duties:

  • Plan work schedules and assign duties for effective performance
  • Collaborate to solve work-related problems
  • Continuous review of work process to ensure proper performance
  • Transmit and explain work orders to field personnel
  • Check specifications of materials being moved
  • Inform personnel of items loaded or problems encountered
  • Examine freight to determine loading sequences
  • Evaluate and prepare employee performance appraisals
  • Perform the same work duties as those supervised or perform more difficult or skilled tasks to assist in their performance
  • Prepare and maintain work records and reports of information

Required Skills or Experience

 

  • A diploma in Engineering or transport and logistics
  • Minimum five years post-qualification experience
  • Office suite software – Microsoft Office software

2. Operations Manager (Transport)

Our Client, a service oriented recreational mining support company with head quarters in Accra and operations based in Tarkwa, intends to recruit competent persons for the following position.

Core Duties:

  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets
  • Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products or materials
  • Interview, select, and train operators, attendants and supervisory personnel
  • Plan, develop, or implement safety and health programs and activities
  • Prepare or direct preparation of correspondence, reports, and operations, maintenance and safety manuals
  • Issue shipping instructions and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated
  • Confer with department heads to coordinate delivery activities, such as production, contract procurement, records control or purchasing
  • Review invoices, work orders, consumption reports or demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments
  • Inspect physical conditions of equipment, vehicle fleets, or operation equipment and order testing, maintenance, repairs or replacements
  • Schedule or monitor air or surface pickup, delivery or distribution of products or materials

Core Duties:

  • Co-ordinate and monitor the implementation of policies within the organisation
  • Establish and maintain functioning hard and electronic record-keeping system
  • Respond effectively to basic stakeholder enquiries
  • Draft correspondence for management
  • Provide general research support to management
  • Maintain and administer employment agreement, files and records and leave management system
  • Maintain and update assets register
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation and communication materials
  • Ensure efficient and effective office environment

Required Skills or Experience

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in management or a social science
  • Minimum 3 years working experience
  • Office suite software – Microsoft Office software
  • Good leadership and communication skills

  • Must be analytical, detail-oriented, flexible and decisive
  • Demonstrate ability to coordinate several activities at once, quickly analyze and resolve specific problems, and cope with deadlines
