African Security Sector Network Jobs: Program Manager

African Security Sector Network (ASSN) was created at Elmina, Ghana in November 2003, out of a recognition of the need to harmonise the activities of the various African organisations working in the area of security sector reform (or transformation) and governance.

Main responsibility will be to provide administrative back-up to the programmes and activities undertaken by the ASSN Secretariat as required. This will include:

Day-to-day office administration
Personnel management (including Staff evaluation)
Book-keeping and minor office procurement; and
Workshop, conference and travel logistics, etc

Required Skills or Experience

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent in HR-related area);
Relevant experience in basic office and Programme Management and Events Planning
Previous background in large NGO an advantage
Full competency in English and working knowledge of French is required
