Job Title: Athletic Director and Physical Education Teacher
Salary: Based on educational achievement and years of experience
Purpose
The purpose of this position is to fulfill the roles of an Athletic Director/PE Teacher
Reporting
This role will report to the Principal of Academics or Assistant Principal.
Job Summary
The role of an Athletic Director/PE teacher entails daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. An athletic director/PE teacher is responsible for managing the sports program in AIS. The Athletic Director oversees athletic activities, supervises the coordination of athletic events and manages athletic department budgets. The Athletic Director may also participate as a liaison with sports conferences and division administrators in Ghana and abroad. The daily tasks of a PE teacher include but are not limited to taking student attendance and preparing necessary materials for each class activity. The weekly tasks of an Athletic Director/PE teacher includes but is not limited to communicating with parents, updating curriculum and lesson plans, and completing Friday checklist provided by the principal. The monthly tasks include but are not limited to attending professional development trainings, reading professional development material, and evaluating student progress.
