Job Description

Responsible for the designing of New Ore Blocks
Responsible to generate/co-ordinate the Budget, the Stoping Program and the development schedule for the Mine Captain’s section
Responsible to co-ordinate the schedule of work to show the sequencing and the timing of work that needs to take place to bring a block/blocks into production on schedule
Responsible to propose the equipment requirements for any one block being brought up into production
Responsible to check the necessary layouts in order to follow the monthly development call produced by himself and the Mine at the month end
Responsible to co-ordinate the collection of information/design from the other Technical sections namely Geology, Geotechnical, and Ventilation, for the blocks in the section
Responsible for the design of an ore block in terms of stability of excavation and pillar size, with the Geotechnical Department

Required Skills or Experience

Possess Bachelor of Science Degree in Mining Engineering
Have previous experience in a related environment (not less than 2 years experience)
Experience in Autocad and other Mine Design Software required
