ARB Apex Bank Vacancy: System Engineers

Under the auspices of the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA), applications are invited from suitably qualified person to fill the following vacant position at the Rural Banks Computer Operations Centre, under the Ghana Rural Bank Computerisation and Interconnectivity Project (GRBCIP)

Support the running of high-end servers, Linux Redhat Operating System, Oracle database, jBase, Anti-virus software at the Data Centre
Support the maintenance of Disaster Recovery sites
Backup and Restoring of systems
Upgrade and maintenance of the operating systems, databases and other related software
Provide support for the running of Temenos eMerge T24 banking software application and other related software
Provide support for the running and maintenance of Computer Operations Centre environment such as ACs, Biometric systems, UPSs, CCTV etc
Support the implementation and manage system security
Manage, on-line replication for hot backup
Monitor and enhance performance of operating systems and Oracle data
Manage SLAs and Maintenance Agreement for Operating Systems, Hardware infrastructure and databases

Required Skills or Experience

Minimum of a first degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or related field
At least 3 years post qualification experience in managing high end servers and storage systems in Network Operations Centre environment
In-depth knowledge in Operating Systems preferably Window and any UNIX flavour or Linux Redhat
In-depth knowledge in Oracle tools and database managements system will be an advantage
Familiarity in Temenos T24 or eMerge T24 banking application is an added advantage
Application of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, FTP and other TCP/IP based services is essential
