Job Description

Job Title: Corporate Services Coordinator

Application deadline: 8 November 2016

Starting monthly salary: GHS 1861.00 gross

Start Date: 1 December 2016

Roles and Responsibilities

The Corporate Services Coordinator works with other departments and HR hub to ensure smooth operation of corporate services office and administrative functionality.

Specific duties include:

Advertisement
  • Updating records on staff movements by consulting with HR hub and teams at post.
  • Preparing welcome packs for new staff and supporting line managers on the induction process.
  • Supporting Protocol Officer in processing the necessary documentation for visa applications for UK based and Local staff (for official travels).
  • Submission of exemption via GCNet, keep track on status and communicate changes to Protocol Officer
  • Advising staff of school fees policy and initiating/up-dating DSs, PoC for any queries re school fees
  • Coordinator for customer service and people survey – ensuring relevant teams provide data on time and responsible for publishing it
  • SharePoint Coordinator – ensuring Sections publish their entries, up-dating as necessary; liaising with IT support Officer  who is SharePoint super-user
  • Management of imprest (petty cash)
  • Providing other Administrative  support to Head and Deputy Head of Corporate services.
  • The CS coordinator will also serve as the Protocol Section back-up;

Required Skills or Experience

The successful applicant is likely to have one or more of the following:

  • A university degree in business administration, social sciences or a related field
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Experience working in an embassy setting will be considered as an asset.

The successful applicant will need to:

  • Show exemplary levels of integrity– at all times ensuring the correct rules and legislation are adhered to and following the UK Civil Service Code and Diplomatic Services Code of Ethics.
  • Observe the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s diversity and equality policies
  • Show some flexibility over working hours
  • Have a valid driver’s licence
  • Required competencies
  • Changing and Improving, Collaborating and Partnering, Managing a Quality Service, Delivering at Pace
