Job Description

Cadbury Cocoa Partnership, a multinational public-private initiative which is expanding into 200 communities in cocoa-growing areas in Ghana, seeks the services of dynamic individuals to achieve its goal of sustainable livelihoods for cocoa farming communities. All positions are based in Accra with extensive travel in the cocoa-growing areas in Ghana. The ability to speak Ghanaian languages would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Programme Director, the Programme Manager for Monitoring and Evaluation will be responsible for coordinating all M&E activities of the project. The responsibilities of the Programme Manager for Monitoring and Evaluation will cover but not be limited to the following:

  1. Serve as a technical resource person on all matters concerning M&E and knowledge sharing
  2. Strengthen the existing Planning and M&E framework for the Cadbury Cocoa Partnership programme especially for learning and development
  3. Support implementing partners in planning, coordinating, monitoring and evaluation
  4. Maintain and operate a database that is periodically updated to reflect progress and performance
  5. Supervise and coordinate the regular collection, compilation, and management of project data across the implementing partners
  6. Harmonise monthly reports from the implementing partners into quarterly reports
  7. Undertake regular assessment and monitoring field visits to programme areas

Required Skills or Experience

Pre-requisites:

  • An MA or MSc in Planning, Statistics, etc
  • A minimum of 5 years consistent experience in monitoring and evaluation of development interventions
  • Capacity to work under tight deadlines and to handle potentially controversial and/or very sensitive issues that require clarity, accuracy and speedy responses
  • Must have excellent data management and reporting skills; and must be conversant with participatory M&E approaches. Willingness to travel extensively in cocoa-producing communities
  • A work history that includes multi-tasking and working with various levels of partners and stakeholders
  • Good communication skills and capacity to work effectively under intense pressure
