Role Title : Warehouse Manager

Primary purpose of the role
(What is the value added by this role, the overall aim, the reason that this role is required?)

Overall responsibility for planning, administration and general management issues which includes day to day supervision of staff.

Manager of Appointing Manager : Country Manager

Location : Kumasi

General Accountabilities
(What are the general responsibilities of the role, against which performance is measured?)


Fulfilling objectives and directives from contract management
Motivating, Organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure KPIs are met
Management of warehouse & distribution in line with operations budget
Overseeing stock control and processing of orders
Ensure all quality, HSE, budget, Security etc objectives are met
Development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives – ISO, SHEQ
Keeping control systems up to date
Planning future capacity requirements
Producing periodic performance reports and stactistics on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Monitoring quality of service and interacting with customer
Overseeing the operations maintenance etc of FLTs
Generate weekly and montly reports as well as Key Performance Indicators required on the contract
Local Accountabilities (Determined locally – examples) (What are the local responsibilities associated with the role, against which performance is measured?)
Inventory Accuracy
Health and Safety LTA
Stock accuracy
Plant truck turnaround
Line downtime due to DSC

Resources (Determined locally)(What resources will the role holder have at their disposal, e.g. size of budget, number of staff reporting, including the geographical spread of these resources?)

Management of processes to meet target KPIs
Management of all reports
Cost effectiveness
Ensure SHEQ compliance on site
Finance Team
Specific Skills/Experience required for role

Logistics Experience including at least 2 years in warehousing
Operation with a high number of SKUs and product diversity
Good appreciation of transport operations and associated
Good communication and negotiation skills
Report writing skills
Ability to give focus and clear directions
Ability to set new targets for operational excellence
Ability to develop and implement long term operational improvement
