focus on multiple sectors, including education, agriculture, and health.
Job Title 1: Grants and Subcontracts Manager
We are recruiting grants and subcontracts managers for these anticipated multiyear projects. These grants and
subcontracts specialists will be responsible for managing project grants to NGOs and building institutional capacity in
grants management under a Grants Under Contract (GUC) mechanism. They will also be responsible for managing project
subcontracts.
Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications for this position:
5 years of demonstrated experience and success in grants management, including Grants Under Contract (GUC);
Demonstrated knowledge of USAID financial and management systems, regulations and reporting requirements;
Degree in business administration, economics, public administration, finance, or closely related field;
Experience building the capacity of organizations to apply for, receive, and manage grants;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Fluency in English required.

employees and shortterm consultants for an anticipated fouryear early grade literacy and numeracy program in Ghana.
The project is expected to focus on improving reading and numeracy instruction, teacher training, education management,
and materials development in English and mother tongue languages. It will also utilize ICT to strengthen education
management and support teacher and student learning.
We are recruiting seniorlevel ICT specialists for both long and shortterm assignments who have experience:
developing software and information management systems for government and nongovernmental entities that deal
with human resource and financial management; OR applying ICT in education, particularly in primary school literacy and numeracy instruction.
Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications for the position:
Bachelor’s degree in education or relevant technology field preferred;
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in ICT development and/or ICT integration in educational
training, instruction, and assessments;
Experience on USAID or other donorfunded programs preferred, and experience working with nongovernmental
organizations, national and local governments, and the private sector required;
Experience designing information mangement systems for government and NGO entities in human resources and
financial management preferred;
Experience with the education sector preferred;
Fluency in English required.

Job Description
The anticipated four year project will focus on improving reading and numeracy instruction, teacher education, education
management, and material development in English and mother tongue languages at the primary school level.
We are recruiting a seniorlevel teacher education specialist to manage inservice and preservice training activities at the
primary education level. It is anticipated that this person will coordinate with regional and district government counterparts
to assess, adapt, and deliver trainings to education professionals.
Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications for the position:
Master’s degree in education or relevant specialty area preferred or equivalent combination of education and work
experience in educationrelated field;
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience developing and managing teacher education activities;
Knowledge of the Ghana education system;
Experience working with tertiary education systems preferred;
Experience on USAID or other donorfunded programs preferred, and experience working with nongovernmental
organizations, national and local governments, and the private sector required;
Outstanding leadership, management, and interpersonal skills;
Fluency in English required.

The early grade literacy specialist will provide technical assistance for the development of improved literacy instruction, materials development, and teacher training efforts.
Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications for the position:
Master’s degree in education, preferably early grade reading, bilingual education, or other relevant area or equivalent
combination of education and work experience in educationrelated field;
Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience working on mothertongue language programming;
Knowledge of the Ghana education system, particularly the NALAP program and literacy framework;
Understanding of Ghanaian and English instruction strategies;
Experience on USAID or other donorfunded programs preferred andexperience working with nongovernmental
organizations ad national and local governments required;
Outstanding leadership, management, and interpersonal skills;
Fluency in English required.
