1. Chief Of Party:

Chemonics International seeks a chief of party for an anticipated USAID-funded health project to expand the use of best practices in HIV/AIDS throughout West Africa. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities include:
  • Provide overall program direction and technical expertise
  • Serve as the project’s principal liaison with USAID, institutions, and client partners
  • Lead coordination efforts with government counterparts, donors, and other key stakeholders
  • Supervise a diverse professional staff
Required Skills or Experience

  • Advanced degree or equivalent experience in public health, medicine, social sciences, or an equivalent field required
  • Minimum 10 years of mid-to-senior level experience in health, specifically HIV/AIDS programming, prevention, treatment, and care
  • Minimum five years at a senior leadership level directing a health project
  • Minimum eight years of experience living and working in a developing country
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective working relations with senior government personnel, NGO partners, U.S. and foreign government organizations, and donor partners
  • Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of regional health issues
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in English and French required

2. Deputy Chef of Party

Chemonics International seeks a deputy chief of party for an anticipated USAID-funded health project to expand the use of best practices in HIV/AIDS throughout West Africa. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the key liaison between the project and relevant counterparts
  • Provide managerial and technical support to the chief of party
  • Supervise project subcomponents and activities
Required Skills or Experience

  • Advanced degree or equivalent experience in public health, medicine, social sciences, or a related field required
  • Minimum eight years of mid- to senior-level experience in health, specifically HIV/AIDS programming, prevention, treatment, and care
  • Minimum five years at a senior leadership level directing a health project
  • Minimum five years of experience living and working in a developing country

Chemonics International seeks monitoring and evaluation specialists for an anticipated USAID-funded health project to expand the use of best practices in HIV/AIDS throughout West Africa. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Monitoring and evaluation specialists will work on program-specific HIV/AIDS monitoring and evaluation efforts in coordination with project technical specialists.
Required Skills or Experience

  • Advanced degree in public health, epidemiology, social science, or other related discipline required
  • Minimum 10 years of monitoring and evaluation experience in health
  • Five years of directing monitoring and evaluation in a large-scale USAID project preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of program design and development

  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Fluency in English and French required
4. Health Specialists
Chemonics International seeks senior-level health specialists for an anticipated USAID-funded health project to expand the use of best practices in HIV/AIDS throughout West Africa. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Long- and short-term assignments may involve the following technical areas:

  • HIV/AIDS
  • Reproductive health and family planning
  • Maternal, neonatal, and child health
  • Nutrition
  • Tuberculosis
  • Health systems
  • Health communications
  • Knowledge management
Required Skills or Experience

  • M.P.H., M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent combination of education and work experience in health-related field
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in developing countries with a focus in one of the technical areas listed above (additional experience may be required for specific positions)
  • Experience working with USAID or other donor-funded projects
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Proficiency in English and French preferred
