Job Description

Job Title: Finance Manager

We are looking for a new member to our experienced Finance team where you will have a key function in supporting the Ghana team with two entities Rig World & Damco Ghana.

Key Responsibilities

Your main tasks will amongst others be to:

Accounting: Actively handle and control tasks and processes within the accounting function and lead initiatives to reach agreed KPIs relating to tasks within the accounting function
Controlling: Supervise and support accounting processes handled in our global service centre
Process Improvement: Play an active part of the accounting/controller team to improve processes and routines
Governance: Implement adequate and effective business and financial controls and conduct effective governance over the business and financial reporting processes
Tax and Compliance: You are expected to support the Area CFO with trade compliance policies, fraud prevention, tax related and enterprise risk management methodologies
Projects: Ad-hoc projects such as company establishment.
Group values: You are to adhere to the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group Commit rules and ensure the group values are communicated and lived by throughout the organisations in your area.
Group Policy & Procedures: You should align the policies and procedures adopted in Ghana with DAMCO’s global policies and procedures and also align them with the regional guidelines.

Requirements

You must have a relevant Bachelor’s degree and minimum three years’ experience from a financial business partner or finance supervisor role; ideally with experience in logistics services, freight forwarding and/or supply chain industry.

Qualities

• Good understanding of core business aspects
• Ability to think critically / challenge paradigms and to be a courageous advocate
• Strong knowledge of fundamentals of accounting
• SAP knowledge
• Strong knowledge of statutory requirements applying to the company
• High integrity and personal credibility; ability to think strategically and use sound judgment
• Skills in examining and establishing proper financial operations and procedures
