The Focus Region Health Project, a USAID-funded project working with Ghana Health Services to strengthen MNCH, family planning, HIV/AIDS, and malaria services primarily in Central, Greater Accra, and Western regions of Ghana.This is a multi -year project to strengthen health systems and management while improving access, quality and use of health services.

 

1. Program Officer:

  • The program officer assists the regional coordinator in carrying-out the activities:
  • The successful candidates will provide healthcare management advisory services to health care facilities and health care management organizations in the public and private sector and assist with designing, implementing, and monitoring health services.
Required Skills or Experience

  • Experience working in health management and planning.
  • Proven ability to manage health systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of Ghanaian health management systems.
  • Experience designing and implementing health care programs.
  • Strong oral and written communications capability.
  • Relevant graduate degree.
2. Regional Coordinator

The Regional Coordinator, in conjunction with a team of technical experts, is responsible for planning, managing and evaluating all project-supported activities in the specific region.

Activities range from maintaining relationships with stakeholders, developing work plans, coordinating clinical training, provision of equipment, supply chain management, ensuring financial management, and health information systems among others.

 

3. Grants and Procurement Manager

The Grants and Procurement Manager works with the project’s financial management staff to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reports for more than 20 sub-grants with Ghanaian organizations and administer project procurement.

Required Skills or Experience

  • The successful candidate should possess accounting degree with
  • Miinimum five years experience in a related field preferably in USAID funded project.
