Job Title: Event Organisers-Volunteers

Oxford Research Group-Ghana in collaboration with the Philanthropy Forum-Ghana, seek  individuals on a voluntary bases to research, plan, organize and co-ordinate the forth coming National Philanthropy Forum and Philanthropy Awards 2017 scheduled to be held at the Accra International Conference Center on March 23-24, 2017. We seek individuals who can

  • Research
  • Organize event
  • Graphic Desgners and
  • Webpage Designers

The National Philanthropy Forum (NPF) is an open forum for development professionals, public and private development inclined practitioners and third sector organizations. The forum will address how we can move the nation forward through indigenous charity and philanthropy. It will also showcase how different bodies are filling development gaps where government is short, and also assess the quantum of philanthropic impact.

The Challenge

We are faced with the consequences of economic uncertainty, high unemployment, disenfranchisement and disconnectedness, environmental damage and threat to sustainability on a range of levels. Worryingly there is also a growing disconnection between wealth and wellbeing. This is a concern in itself and it increases the suffering resulting from the above issues. Indigenous charity and philanthropy has the potential to move the country forward. The forum is also aimed at initiating a proactive drive to systematic documentation of the value of the third sector in our country’s development.

Purpose of Event

The forum hopes to attain the following goals among others;

  • Bringing different organizations and individuals under one umbrella to dialogue on the importance of the role of indigenous philanthropy in national development
  • Provide a platform for networking opportunities and partnerships for development partners, foundations, public and private sector institutions to enhance collective impact

Required Skills or Experience

  • Must be computer literate, self motivated, eloquent and able to multi-task.
