Eni Ghana Exploration & Production Recruiting Contract Engineer

A leading Oil & Gas Company is looking for qualified candidates for the following position based in Accra.

Job Title: Contract Engineer

Job Purpose

The Contract Engineer will take care of procurement of works, services and materials based on company guidelines and procedures and in line guidelines set out by the Management.

Main Responsibilities

•   Receive the Material/Service Request (PR)
•   Analyze the requests and accordingly, prepare the appropriate strategy, to be approved by the management, in order to meet the requirements, including
1) Selection of suitable Bidders
2) Selection of appropriate Contractual Standards
•   Carry out due diligence on suppliers
•   Issue to the bidders proposals
•   Act as focal point for the receipt and management of their queries
•   Receive the Bidders proposals
•   Organize the openning committees for technical and commercial bid openings
•   Ensure, under the supervision of the management, that the requesting unit provides an adequate technical evaluation of the proposals if and when applicable
•   Prepare the economic evaluation of the bid for the approval of the management
•   Negotiate under supervision of management (with the selected supplier) prices, terms and conditions
•   Prepare the economic evaluation of the bid for the approval of the management
•   Ensure correct distribution of contracts to supplier and internal functions
•   Ensure proper archiving and storage of all tender and contractual documentation
•   Support the contract Managers during contract execution
•   Prepare the Contract revisions if and when appliable
•   Take part in project activities of the department with specific goal

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Strong academicals background
•   Accredited University Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or similar
•   Master preferably
•   0 to 2 years work experience
•   Excellent oral and written english
•   Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
