Job Title 1: Well Site Geologist

To coordinate geological activities and well dataacquisition at the well site (logging, drilling, coring etc) and provide necessary site reports to superior

Main Responsibilities

•   To monitor drilling and geological parameters at well site to detect the onset of pressure gradient changes.
•   To ensure that drilling mud is mixed as per specification (appropriate weight, viscosity and salinity are maintained) and to report abnormalities to superior.
•   Sending geological reports to superior giving details of the lithology, correlations, shows and gas analysis.
•   Supervise the running of electric logs and help to make preliminary field interpretation when required.
•   Coordinate subsurface / wellsite operations, supervise the running of electric logs and helps to make preliminary field interpretation when required
•   Supervise side wall and bottom hole coring operations as well as in open or cased hole tests at the well site and ensuring proper preservation of the cores.
•   Assess the logging equipment so as to ensure that it is in good working order and to report observed defects to superior.
•   Supervise mud togging and wire-line logging operations, to provide guidelines at the well-site during drilling operations
•   Monitor drilling operations from the time the surface casing is run and cemented till total depth and to alert superior whenever any abnormality is observed in the operation (e.g. drilling break, gas cut mud, etc.)

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Geoscience or Engineering degree
•   Relevant experience in Oil & Gas industry and drilling activity
•   Basic experience in log analysis, core interpretation and wireline fluid/pressure sampling

To plan and implement activities that will enhance good relations with Government and Public Authorities, with Partners and Oil & Gas companies and the actions that will improve the corporate image of the Company in order to facilitate the implementation of the Company’s strategy and programs and safeguard its business interest.

Job  Title 2: External Relations Manager

Main Responsibilities

•   To provide internal departments with legal advice and assistance in managing negotiations and drafting contracts and legal opinions, according to Eni guidelines and national petroleum legislation. Promote and maintain good relations with Government, Public. Petroleum Commission, GNPC officials and third parties and to assist or advise Company officials, Eni Headquarters and, when required, their Associate Company Representatives onhow to make contact with them.
•   Give advice to Management in the definition of Company’s Community Relations  policies;to suggest appropriate  action or projects that will develop and improve good relations with the local communities. Advise departments in defining the procedure that must be followed in obtaining authorizations, permits,licenses, etc .
•   Study and propose, for approval, an outfit to maintain good relations and image for the Company through the occasional preparation of pamphlets, publications, press releases, publicity materials and or by organising seminars on public enlightenment activities and development projects for local communities.
•   Liaise on instruction with media, in order to get Company’s press releases published.
•   Assist Top Management in the definition of Public Relations materials and gifts and ensure their proper distribution; participate in the preparation and control of budget of Public Affairs activities. Keep abreast of current affairs generally, paying particular attention to news items of interest to the Company, major socio-political events in the country as well as Oil Companies activities. Ensure spread of information within the Company through reports, internal communication etc.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   University Law Degree
•   Minimum 4 years’ experience, in Oil&Gas sector preferable.
•   Ability to interact with sustain communication with Top Government functionaries;
•   Good knowledge of Corporate Social Responsibility and expectations from stakeholders, Government and Local Communities

Job Title 3: Local Content Manager

To plan and implement activities and policies that will ensure compliance within the Local Content Law.

Main Responsibilities

•   To ensure the implementation of policies and strategies aimed at identifying and increasing the use of local materials and expertise in the various services outsourced by the Company; to keep abreast and ensure compliance with relevant Government guidelines and legislation.
•   To ensure that relevant studies, surveys and analysis are carried out in order to develop adequate local content policy and to establish appropriate targets for local content inputs; to ensure the evaluation of the competencies and know-how of indigenous contractors in order to ascertain their capabilities: to ensure the development of appropriate database and the preparation of relevant reports for Management information;
•   To define and develop, in cooperation with relevant Company Units: appropriate procedures and processes for measuring and implementing local content inputs in accordance with existing guidelines of the Company, GNPC- PC and other relevant Government bodies;
•   To ensure that the bid and award processes for the procurement of materials and services identified for local content input comply with the relevant Company and Government policies and guidelines; to ensure, through continuous liaison with GNPC-PC, the timely evaluation and approval of the local content provisions in relevant bids;
•   To provide for the development of appropriate strategics for the realization of the Company’s aspirations in terms of Training, Research & Development, investmentsin infrastructures and new technologies that can contribute to the growth of Ghanaian content in the oil and gas sector operations;
•   To participate in the Technical Committee Meetings, and when required, in Operating Committee Meetings.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   University Degree
•   Minimum 4 years experience in Oil & Gas sector preferable
•   Ability to be a team player, frequent interaction with other disciplines and third parties
•   High level of professional and personal integrity
•   Very good ability to work independently when required
•   Very good fluency in written and spoken English, particularly for legal terminology
