Job Description

Recruitment into National Ambulance Service of the Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health is Recruiting Qualified Drivers to be trained as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) in the National Ambulance Service.

  • The EMTs would work in the Ambulances of the National Ambulance Service

Category of Personnel: Drivers

Required Skills or Experience

 

Minimum Qualification:

Advertisement
  • Possess Driving License of at least category “c”
  • SSSCE, WASSCE, GCE, MVM, MVT Parts 1 & 2, or Three Years (3) NVTI Certificate in relevant course

General Qualification:

  • Age applicant must be between 21 and 35 years (by the end of 2012)
  • Be physically Fit by Para Military Standards
  • Clean Police Record
  • Willing to work at odd and long hours
  • Not allergic to Body and trauma situations
  • Be prepared to work in any part of the country especially in districts outside Accra and Kumasi

Training:
Qualified applicant would go through intensive 12 months training which involve physical drills and practical attachments at Emergency and Trauma Centres of major hospitals and Ambulance Stations
