Job Description
To manage the operations team at the branch in ensuring adherence to controls and procedures, manage risk and prevent fraud, whilst maintaining a high level of quality service delivery and assisting in delivering Branch sales targets.
Key Accountabilities
• Supervise Operations staff at the branch and manage their performance
• Ensure staff are adequately trained in handling their respective roles
• Ensure Operational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are strictly adhered to
• Ensure that transactions or activities initiated by or to assigned branches are processed within approved laid down procedures
• Review, authorize, and reconcile branch transactions and Branch General Ledgers (GLs)
• Ensure the integrity of all transactions and GLs within the branch
• Build a strong KYC compliance environment in the branch.
• Ensure daily independent Call Over of all qualifying Transactions
• Branch cash management
• Assist in the achievement of branch sales targets
• Prepare periodic branch reports
• Regularly review ATM cash reconciliation to discover irregularities and promptly resolve them
• Manage operational risk at the branch
• Any other official duties that you may be assigned by the Branch Operations Coordinator or Branch Manager
Qualification Required & Experience
• At least 1st degree in relevant field
• A minimum of 4 years experience in similar role, as well as general banking experience
• Strong customer service orientation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong supervisory skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Understanding of economic trends within the Ghanaian banking and external environment
• Sound knowledge of bank’s products
• Sound knowledge of banking practices and theories
• Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and accounts
• Strong time management and self organization skills
