Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for providing financial, administrative and secretarial support to the Ghana Country programme, ensuring that policies, procedures and minimum standards of accounting and administration are complied with.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Accounting
Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded
Process payments
Maintain petty cash fund
Maintain cash and bankbooks
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Participate in the preparation of monthly cash forecasts and financial reports
Administration
Facilitate organization of workshops, conferences and meetings
Facilitate travel arrangements
Office management,
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence,
Provide secretarial support to the Country Director
Manage the front desk
Provide support for procurement of goods and services
Required Skills or Experience
Essential:
Higher National Diploma (HND) Accounting, or Degree in Accounting, and/or part-professional accounting qualification
At least two years practical experience in finance & office administration
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
Computer literacy
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Must be responsible, proactive, organised and accurate
Desirable:
Experience in NGOs finance and administration processes.
