Genkey Africa Ltd recruits Senior Software Developer

Our organization operates on 4 continents and our development office in Ghana is leading the application software design and development for our products worldwide. We have a very dynamic environment that presents new challenges every day. We have an immediate opening for an additional Senior Software Developer.

The ideal candidate will actively participate in all aspects of the software development life-cycle, will share his proven expertise in specific areas of technology and share with the senior staff the responsibility of providing guidance, mentoring and review of our junior staff.

This position requires a person who is very strong in the technical areas listed below, but also flexible, and able to think of out-the-box solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality software development and will work with a proven team of top-notch Software Developers locally and internationally as well as with our business units in SouthEast Asia, Europe and the US. This role will have a direct result on how our work is perceived in the marketplace.

We look for a structured, highly team-oriented, confident and mature software developer.

This position will report to the Director and Chief Software Architect.

Required Skills or Experience

MINIMUM required skillset/experience

4+ years experience in COMMERCIAL Software Development
Proven experience in commercial JAVA development
Proven, production level expertise in at least 3 of the following technical areas
Spring
Hibernate
SQL
JMS
JAVA-UI (Swing/SWT)
JSF
Enterprise Portal Engines (Websphere, LifeRay, etc.)
knowledge of various Operating Systems (Linux/Windows)
Excellent communication skills and team spirit
Excellent knowledge of English (verbal, writing)
Excellent analytical skills
Should have
Ability to handle multiple projects under aggressive timelines
Used to write unit tests
Produce architectural guidelines and reviews
Ability to work in a team and an organization without ellbows.
Preference is given to candidates with additional C++ skills
