Job Description

Ensure proper book keeping of accounts by the Accounts Department to provide accurate financial reports
Working to maintain an efficient and reliable accounts department
Preparing and presenting reliable financial statements and management accounts for internal and external use
Ensuring timely delivery of financial reports and honouring of statutory obligations
To professionally build profitable and long-term relationships with individual and institutional financiers, external auditors, suppliers and other stakeholders in pursuit of corporate growth and development
Ensure sustainable establishment of branch offices in the regions
Reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration

Required Skills or Experience

Minimum of 1st degree plus professional qualification in accounting
A postgraduate degree is an advantage
Working experience with a practising / training institution will be an added advantage
Minimum six (6) years relevant working experience as accountant / accounts officer with a reputable institution
Must be at least 30 years of age and possess leadership attributes including honesty, integrity, dependability and passion for results
Excellent knowledge of Tally, excel and other Microsoft office and e-business tools and should be able to prepare financial statements and periodic management accounts with minimum or little supervision
Be ready to travel to the branch offices to ensure efficient use of resources
Be ready to be rewarded significantly on performance basis with no upper limit on incomes
