Job Title: Education Officer

Job Description

The Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons wishes to engage the services of qualified and industrious persons to fill the following vacancy in the Establishment.

Job Summary:
To contribute to fulfilling the mandate of the College by implementing policies and programmes as it relates to Education and Training.

Job Responsibility:

• Coordinate and monitor the development of test items
• Plan for related matters connected with the conduct of examinations
• Analyze examination results for the attention of superior
• Develop and maintain a test item bank
• Ensure that the procedures on the admission of residents are applied as contained in the regulation
• Supervise arrangements for continuous professional development (CPD) for trainers, practitioners and residents
• Coordinate the accreditation of training and rotational sites
• Supervise affairs of major calendar activities under the department
• Coordinate the periodic review of the curricula of the Faculties under the College
• Perform any other related duty that may be assigned by a superior officer

Required Skills or Experience

The candidates must satisfy the following requirements:

• A Master’s degree in Education & Training preferably Measurement & Evaluation/Curriculum Studies from a recognized university
• A minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience in a university or similar institution
