Job Description

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Job Summary

The Research/Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and research supports to the experts. He/She will provide research assistance in the conduct of research on social and economic issues in the Ghanaian Economy.

Duties/Responsibilities

Reporting to the Executive Director, the roles and responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant will include, but not limited to the following:

•   Assist with developing research protocol and undertake project instrument designing;
•   Assist in writing research proposals, papers and preparing conference presentations;
•   Assist with the organization, preparation, collation and consolidation of annual work plans and budget administration for effective implementation of project activities;
•   Review work plans, write reports, and implement project activities according to the technical, financial and administrative procedures;
•   Perform administrative functions including filing, photocopying, writing and dispatching letters;
•   Work closely with other project and administrative team in project management and related areas;
•   Assist with developing training courses and training manuals for Institute;
•   Ability and willingness to undertake frequent field trips as may be requested;
•   Perform any other functions as may be assigned by the supervisor or Executive Director.

Qualification Required & Experience

Advertisement

•   A bachelor’s degree in social sciences, business administration, or related field with at least 2 years of working experience;
•   Experience in office management, M&E and report writing skills;
•   Experience in conducting/participating in research studies;
•   Working knowledge in using Microsoft office required;
•   Competency in performing multiple functional tasks;
•   Good interpersonal skills;
•   Fluency in English (verbal and written); and
•   Must have a very strong ability to work effectively in a team.
