Ghana Statistical Service invites applications from eligible persons to serve as field officers (Enumerators & Supervisors) in the 2010 Population and Housing Census for latter part of this year
Required Skills or Experience
Who may apply?
Teachers nominated by their District Directors of Education
Other individuals with at Higher National Diploma (HND)
Age eligibility – Must be between 18 and 55 years
Qualified females are encouraged to apply
Should be able to speak at least one local language of the District(s) of choice
Must be disciplined, competent and have a sense of dedication to duty
Should be healthy enough to undertake field exercise (may involve walking long distance)
Should have good inter-personal and communication skills
Experience – Interviewing experience in surveys/research/census will be an added advantage
Residence – Preference will be given to applicants who currently reside or lived for considerable length of time in the District of choice

All applicants including GES Teachers must complete an application form available only online. The web address is www.statsghana.gov.gh/ or www.census-ghana.net/
Applicants who do not have access to internet facility anywhere within their District should contact the District Statistical Office/District Co-ordinating Directors Office or the Regional Statistician’s Office for further directions

In filling the form, applicants should state;
Applicants’ telephone or contact number and email address (if available)
Forms of identification (stating the number and the expiry date)
Two reference with phone numbers and email addresses
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for interview
The following will be required at the time of interview:
Two copies of recently taken passport size picture (with their names written at the back)
Original copies of Certificates,
Internet generated number confirming your application
