Ghana Stock Exchange Recruiting Information Technology Officer

Purpose of Job:

•   Delivery of a seamless, consistent and efficient ICT services across all of the company’s business areas and provide user support

Key Task:

•   Implement a variety of information management systems which will respond to the needs of the company in the areas of business process reengineering, data management and business intelligence,
•   Assist in the administration of the automated stock trading platform of the GSE and provide end-user business applications support,
•   Assist in the installation and maintenance of workstation with their respective application and operating systems. Provide coaching to staff on software applications usage,
•   Assist in the development and maintenance of sound IT policies, disaster recovery plan, and business continuity policies
•   Liaise with vendors for the acquisition and deployment of information technology infrastructure and systems.
•   Undertake any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor

•   Internal customer satisfaction levels
•   Variance between planned and actual activity levels
•   Value adding service levels
•   Timeliness and accuracy of execution of tasks

Working Conditions:

•   Work is performed in a typical office environment.

Age Limit:

•   Not more than 40 years

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A degree in computer science, information technology or a related discipline. A professional accreditation will be desirable.
•   Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience within a dynamic corporate institution.
•   Good software development knowledge in either PHP. ASP.NET, or JAVA and related Web 2.0 technologies with understanding of software development cycles
•   Good knowledge of any relational database management systems (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL)
•   Good UI design and implementation concept
•   Good Knowledge of Linux/Unix based system administration
•   Must have a working knowledge of network management and support
•   Must be innovative and a team player
•   Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
