The coalition seeks qualified candidates for the position below

Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Programme Officers

Key Responsibilities:

•   Assist in programme formulation, design, planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting
•   Coordinate the implementation of GNECC activities
•   Follow-up and monitor projects and regularly prepare progress report
•   Promote dialogue and interface between GNECC Members, local government and national government institutions
•   Promote GNECC advocacy issues through platforms, networks an partner organizations
•   Shall report to the National Coordinator who has overall responsibility for programme development and management
•   Undertake all other responsibility and duties that would be assigned by the National Coordinator

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Academic study must include at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences or equivalent understanding
•   Knowledge and understanding of community development, civil society organizations, empowerment processes, participatory planning, programme and financial management, influence and advocacy work
•   Knowledge of cross-cutting issues such as Gender, Poverty Reduction strategy, Public Private Partnership
•   Quantitative and qualitative research methodology
•   Knowledge of educational policies and systems
•   Computer literate (Windows XP, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access)
•   Has not less than 5 years’ experience in development work as Programme Officer
