Golden Star Ghana: Metallurgical Projects Officer

Golden Star Resources (GSR) is a growing mining Company with two operating mines in Ghana, Golden Star (Bogoso/Prestea) Limited and Golden Star (Wassa) Limited and other projects at various stage of development.

Job Description

The company’s Bogoso/Prestea operation is currently seeking to recruit a suitably qualified Ghanaian for a fixed term contract period (6 months).

Coordinate and develop SOP’s for the processing department
Develop and prepare SOP’s for laboratory plant sampling procedures
Coordinate and develop JHA/JSA for the maintenance and processing departments
Perform any other related duties that may be assigned by supervisor
Remuneration: Competitive package will be offered

Required Skills or Experience

Degree in Metallurgical Engineering with at least two (2) years hands-on experience
Knowledgeable in the development of SOP’s
Strong computer skills in Micro Soft Project applications
Excellent project management skills
Proficiency in technical report writing
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work without supervision
