Golden Star Resources: CMF Supervisor

Golden Star Resources is a growing Company with two operating mines in Ghana and other projects at various stages of development. The Company�s Bogoso/Prestea operations, located 10km south of the town of Bogoso in the Western Region of Ghana, is in the process of expanding with the commissioning of a new BIOX Plant in 2007. To supplement its open pit production, the Company is evaluating the feasibility of resuming Underground operations.

Job Description

Assist with the optimisation of Crushing, Milling and Floatation (CMF) processes
Supervise all activities at the CMF section
Ensure employees work in a safe environment at the Processing Plant
Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sectional activities
Provide training to subordinates
Perform any other related duties that may be assigned from time-to-time

Required Skills or Experience

Minimum of Diploma in Metallurgy or HND or its equivalent with at least five (5) years hands-on experience in a mining environment
Good knowledge of Crushing, Milling and Floatation (CMF) processes
Strong supervisory and communication skills
Ability to relate effectively with people at all levels
Must be computer literate
Able to work for extended hours
