Job Description

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain, in collaboration with others, relevant written group-wide standards, guidelines and metrics lor the mine geology including operational ore control and sampling, data management, mine mapping, ore mineralogy and reconcffiation practices;

Lead and manage the surface Mine Geology Community of practice;

Liaise wtth contacts within the GSR business units and the global mining industry to identify and maintain awareness of leading practices to mine geology, including opportunities for Mure technical improvement;

Coordinate Sie annual reserve reporting process, internal and external resource modelling audits;

Provide geological input regarding ore quality, ore types and expected Implications of ore body composition for the processing/metallurgy department;

Conduct and overee© on-site evaluations of project properties in order to estimate size and tenure of contained ore bodies;

Prepare projects tor production through organization and completion of drilling, geologic modelling,    metallurgy, gee-technical and scheduling programs; v

Contribute to the strategic direction of mine geology technology research priorities;

Perform any other related duties that may be assigned

Required Skills or Experience

Requirements:

Degree in Geology or Geological Engineering with at least ten (10) years on hands on experience with reputable organisations

Extensive experience in multiple styles of mineralisation with specific responsibility for mine geology, or control, reconciliation and resource modeling

Deep and current technical understanding of resource and grade control practices, technology, systems and tools

Sound knowledge of geology and exploration environments

Proficient in technical report writing

Excellent presentation, people management and communication skills

Able to work efficiently and effectively in a virtual team environment with global focus

Excellent organisational, planning and people management

skills;

Must possess valid Ghanaian drivers’ license.
