Golden Star Resources (GSR) Rrecruitment 2011 for Pit Superintendent

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to the mining crews by developing work and resource plans (people and equipment) and targets consistent with the overall project mining plans;
• Develop plans and implement strategies achieve production targets as measured by mining key performance indicators (KPIs);
• Ensure strict compliance with safely and operational procedures and systems in a pit;
• Ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements and legislation;
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical knowledge and support to improve mining efficiency
• Communicate shift performance and other relevant information to team members;
• Develop and mentor employees to ensure a pool of skilled employees are available; and
• Perform any other related duties assigned from time to time by Supervisor
