GE Africa’s Early Career Development Program (ECDP) is a 12 month leadership program designed to give recent university/college graduates challenging work assignments, training and development, and exposure to leadership. The program combines hands-on experience with formal classroom training to equip participants with the tools and knowledge to become leaders in GE.

Essential Responsibilities:

As a key pipeline for future GE talent, the candidate will be required to provide support in the following disciplines e.g. Java Programming, DBA, data warehousing, business intelligence, et al), and some of the areas that the candidate will be required to lead may include, but not limited to Flag planting, IT charities, Call Counting Systems, IT Cafe revamp etc. The job assignments and training are designed to enable the candidate to apply his/her information technology knowledge and experience to support the team in driving some of GE’s strategic business initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering or information assurance.
  • GPA greater than or equal 3.0/4.0 overall.
  • Must have advanced to fluent level of English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Demonstrated team player.
  • A confident self-starter who has demonstrated drive.
  • Ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks and work to meet deadlines.

Must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in the role’s location.
