Supervisor: Performance Based Financing Advisor

Job Summary

• The Grants Technical Specialist will provide technical support to project grantees in the regions to help ensure high-quality implementation and documentation of activities.

This person will also support potential grantees to develop grant applications and existing grantees to develop sustainability plans to sustain results achieved from grants.

Specific Tasks

•   The Grants Technical Specialist will provide support to sub-grantees in the management and implementation of grant awards
•   Provide technical support to sub-grantees to report on results from grants and ensure that grant deliverables are of good quality and submitted on schedule
•   Work with regions and districts to conceptualize approaches for performance-based grant applications
•   Support the development of region and district specific sustainability plans to sustain results achieved from grants
•   Promote the sharing of grant results in the region

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Advanced degree in Public Health or related field with five (5) years’ relevant experience particularly implementing and monitoring health programs
•   Previous experience working in grants management; preferable experience with performance-based grants
•   Previous experience working with USAID-funded projects and Ghana Health Service
•   Advanced proficiency with the use of MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook
•   Strong time management and organizational skills, demonstrated ability to work well independently and in teams
•   Ability and willingness to travel significantly in the regions
•   Good interpersonal skills
•   Independent ability to plan, develop, manage and evaluate important and sensitive programs
•   Excellent written and oral communication

Location: Accra, Cape Coast, Takoradi, Ho, and Tamale
