Job Description
Job Title: Monitoring & Evaluation and Project Manager
Responsibilities
• To oversee and collect data on all project activities in Ghana and Malawi and to contribute to report writing
• To monitor all outputs, deliveries and schedules in Ghana and Malawi
• To support the preparation, implementation and evaluation of baseline studies and mid-term evaluations in Ghana and Malawi
• To coordinate all activities of the national project in Ghana (e.g. research preparation, communication with partners and the national learning alliance of SAIRLA, preparation and facilitation of meetings)
Qualification Required & Experience
• MA or MSc Degree in natural or social sciences, e.g agricultural economics, agriculture, applied economics, applied statistics or related fields
Skills and Experience
• At least 5 years of M&E experience working with large international grants, in designing, implementing and maintaining M&E systems in the agricultural sector.
• Demonstrated success in working in multi-disciplinary teams and partnerships in a collaborative research work
• Ability to travel in country to coordinate activities nd connect with partners.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with advanced written and verbal communication skills in English and other local Ghanaian languages
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Excellent team playing skills with the ability to also work with minimum supervision
• Familiarity with agricultural interventions will be an advantage
Duration: Two-year, renewable contract based on performance and availability of funding
Location: Tamale, with frequent travel to project sites
