Job Description
IPA seeks a Data-entry Manager to oversee the management of its in-house data entry team. The data entry team handles work across IPA projects and is comprised of primarily temporary staff. This position will be based in Accra.
The primary roles and responsibilities of the Data-entry Manager will include:
Report to the IPA Data Coordinator and IPA Ghana Management Team
Assist in calculating staffing needs for each month.
Recruit and assign work-plans to Data Associates in accordance with the monthly data-entry planning coordinated by the IPA Data Coordinator
Supervise a team of Data Associates in conducting data entry and auditing for a variety of projects in accordance with the IPA protocols.
Monitor staff productivity and assist in error rate and data entry speed calculations.
Work with management to develop systems of motivating staff.
Training of data entry staff in IPA protocols and standards.
Sign in and sign out Data Associates and equipment according to security policies.
Communicate regularly with the IPA Project Associate, IPA Management or other IPA staff.
Track the receipt of all survey sheets received by the IPA Ghana Accra office
Ensure that all surveys are warehoused, with proper labels and in a good state, without any pages missing or out of order, to their correct location
Pay careful attention to detail, regularly save and back up work, maintain high security standards, and work diligently.
Perform any other work-related duties that may be assigned.
Required Skills or Experience
Prior experience in data-entry for quantitative surveys is required
Experience in managing teams and strong people skills are required
Experience with non-governmental organizations in Ghana is preferred.
Experience conducting staff trainings.
Strong computer skills. Highly proficient in Word and Excel
Demonstrated experience in budgeting and financial management skills.
A first degree, HND or any higher certificate
A minimum of 6 months data capture experience
Professional experience with Microsoft word and excel, 12 months minimum
A fast learner and ability to follow instructions carefully
