Having signed a cultural Agreement with the aim of expanding the cultural ties between the two countries (Iran & Ghana) since 1986 AD (1364 AH), the cultural consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran begun his activities in Ghana. Following the visit of the President of the Organization of Islamic Culture and Relations His Reverence Muhammadi ‘Iraqi to Ghana in 2002 and the signing of the joint cultural statement, the two countries placed emphasis on the enforcement of the cultural Agreement, and in particular, called attention to paragraph 12 of the said Agreement which suggests the planning of cultural exchanges between the two countries. Following the trip of the President of the Cultural Commissioner of Ghana to Iran in 2003, the enforcement of the cultural exchanges between the two countries was signed for three years.
