Job Description

JSI has received funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to implement the Strengthening Partnerships, Results and Innovations in Nutrition Globally (SPRING) Project in northern Ghana to strengthen the treatment and preventive nutrition services in health facilities, and to oversee the implementation of specific tasks that strengthen community based nutrition improvements.

Overall Scope
SPRING Ghana’s cooperative agreement requires it to find and document cost share that contributes to the project’s objectives.  The employee will research, retrieve, copy and submit complete cost share documentation based on documentation found in SPRING’s QuickBooks (QB) archives.

This is a temporary position anticipated to take 6-8 weeks full time work.

In general, the employee will ensure that all cost share documentation is assembled and packaged according to JSI cost share policies for submission to Home Office and Accounts.  This means:

  • Working with the Finance Manager to identify all QuickBooks vouchers that can potentially contribute to cost share.  Most of the documentation will be in relation to government and other relevant personnel attending training and non-training workshops, meetings, venue space and district office space.  Other types of cost share might be identified as well;
  • Copying all the relevant cost share documentation from the QB archives;
  • Assembling the documentation, writing appropriate cover memos and other additional documentation following JSI templates and requirements.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of USAID financial and management systems, regulations and reporting requirements; specific knowledge of cost share requirements would be a plus;
  • Degree in business administration, economics, public administration, finance, accounting or other relevant field;
  • Superior writing skills in English;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
