Judicial Service of Ghana: Deputy Director – Information

The Judicial Service of Ghana in its effort to improve its service delivery is restructing its Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) Department as part of the on-going institutional reforms. The Service is therefore looking for exceptionally dynamic and business-oriented persons with proven academic and professional capabilities.

The Deputy Director – ICT will report directly to the ICT Director. The duties and responsibilities shall include the following:

Formulate ICT strategies, policies and annual programmes
Provide technical leadership in the development/acquisition and maintenance of ICT equipment
Supervise the development and maintenance of the Judicial Service’s website
Provide direction in the maintenance of both the Wide Area and Local Network’s operatiing systems and application software of the service
Ensure security of Judicial Service Information systems
Provide guidance for the upgrade of ICT knowledge & skills of members of the Judicial and staff of the Service
Co-ordinate the use of information technology in the Courts, Departments and Units of the Judicial Service
Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Required Skills or Experience

Must have a minimum of a Masters Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline from a recognized University
Must have a minimum of Five (5) years Post Qualification experience, at least three (3) years of which should be in middle level management position from the Public, Private or Non-Governmental Organization
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to liaise with other Departments of the Service and function as part of a team
Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and leadership skills
