As the head of the Procurement Department, and reporting to the Judicial Secretar, the Director of Procurement will contribute to the formulation and implementation of the Procurement Department’s strategy and plans as appropriate to the needs and objectivies of the Service, Judicial Service of Ghana recruits Director of Procurement

Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Your duties and responsibilities as Director of Procurement shall include the following:

Preparation of an annual procurement plan for the Judicial Service and implementing the plan to its logical conclusion
Managing the tendering process from RFP design to contract award while ensuring a smooth execution of same and an alignment with the necessary requirements
Providing leadership and direction in evaluation of goods, works and consultancy/services
Assisting in developing and managing service level agreements with various suppliers
Supervising the day-to-day procurement operations and ensuring that procurement processes are implemented as designed and comply with established laws, standards and procedures
Managing the relationship with other key stakeholders, such as the Public Procurement Authority
Preparing and submitting a monthly procurement report to the Judicial Secretary
Any other relevant duties that may be assigned by the Judicial Secretary
Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum of Masters Degree in Management or relevant discipline
Professional Qualification in Purchasing and Supply/Procurement will be an added advantage
Minimum of seven (7) years post qualification experience, at least five of which should have been in a senior management position preferably in the Public Service
Demonstrated experience in the Public Procurement Act, Act 2003 (Act 663) in the Public Service
Excellent contract management and project management skills
Excellent communication, interpersona, analytical, negotiation, research, creativity, conflict resolution and problem solving skills with an eye for details
Demonstrated track record in providing overall supervision to a team in procurement planning and execution of the plans
Must be proficient in the use of MS Office Suite especially MS Project and Procurement Software
Must be a member of the relevant professional bodies
