Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Recruits Deputy Director, Quality Assurance

Job Purpose:
Lead in development and implementation of quality assurance programs in organization
Coordinate the development of clinical care guidelines. Protocols and standards
Provide expert advice on issues relating to quality assurance
Lead in developing training programs in QA for health staff
Facilitate the establishment of systems for clinical effectiveness
Contribute to the development of systems for accreditation
Ensure quality assurance programmes are in place in the Hospital
Provide technical support to directorates/units in QA implementation
Undertake monitoring/support supervision visits
Contribute in the review of the definition, type, level, and mix of clinical care services within the Hospital
Contribute to the development of systems for monitoring and evaluation of clinical care services across the organization
Participate in policy development, analysis and review in the Hospital
Participate in the implementation and evaluation of national health policies within the Hospital
Contribute to the development of medium/Long term strategic plans for the Hospital
Prepare annual reports and other reports on the Unit

Required Skills or Experience

Senior Health Professional
Postgraduate qualification in a Health related field (Masters or equivalent)
Evidence of leadership and continuing professional development and training in Health management
Training and experience in quality assurance
A minimum of Five (5) years working experience in management at senior level
A broad knowledge base and experience of KATH policies and operating procedures
Experience in service development Computer skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work, lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to organize and manage workload, work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative
Integrity, flexibility, enthusiasm, motivation, commitment, courteous, considerate, team player and trustworthy
