Our client with a strong presence in the African financial services industry providing innovative products and services to its individual and corporate clientele, seeks the services of an individual with the requisite professional competencies to join its team of corporate executive to deliver the competitive edge required to surge in its chosen markets.

The Executive Director who will report to the Country Managing Director, shall be responsible for the development of marketing strategies that will enable the Bank to achieve its business objectives in the target markets. The job holder shall be instrumental in developing, co-ordinating, directing and controlling the current to long term market penetration strategies to meet and exceed customers requirements, minimize cost and risk, as well as maximize profits.

KPMG Recruits Executive Director, Business Development

Functions and Responsibilities:

•   Formulate and implement Corporate and Commercial Banking Strategy
•   Define marketing and sales strategies for Corporate and commercial banking & public sector
•   Develop coporate and commercial banking products and services
•   Manage and maintain existing customer relationships and develop new customer relationships
•   Manage Corporate and commercial banking risk management framework
•   Develop and implement an efficient and effective customer service framework
•   Fund the Bank with cheap deposit liabilities
•   Perform ambassadorial roles on behalf of the Bank
•   Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the MD
•   Develop a sustainable framework for the generation of foreign exchange to meet customer needs in the commercial and corporate banking sector.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A good first degree in any discipline
•   Relevant Master’s Degree will be an advantage


Professional Membership

•   A recognized relevant professional certification will be an added advantage


•   Minimum of fifteen (15) years post qualification experience in the Banking / Financial sector with experience in the development of financial products and operations management in the banking sector for at least ten (10) years
•   Minimum of eight (8) years at senior management level with responsibility for business development and customer relationship management
