Kumasi polytechnic was established in 1954, the Polytechnic became a tertiary institution in 1993, and has been making strides in the quest to fulfil its mandate of training students to meet the critical manpower needs of the country. The Polytechnic has a student population of about 8,000and a staff population of about 500.

Job Description:

To organise rounds of inspections on security personnel and locations under his supervision

To conduct periodic security audits of locations and facilities under his supervision

To maintain the required records relating to duties, ensure that clear and precise log entries are made and incident/crime reports are completed as directed

To submit routine reports on the locations and facilities under his supervision to management

Perform any additional duties that may be assigned by management

Required Skills and Experience:

Must be confirmed officers with not less than 4 years continuous and satisfactory service as Assistant Security Officer; and should have the basic qualification of 6 passes in the SSSCE/GCE ‘O’ level 5 credits or

Must have attained at least the rank of Chief Inspector in the Police Service or at least any equivalent rank in the Security Services with not less than five years continuous and satisfactory service in that rank
