Job Description
Job Purpose:
To coordinate the overall human resource programmes and organize staff training within Regional Coordinating Councils (RCCs)
Job Summary:
Ensures effective and efficient administration of human resources in the RCCs
Ensures that institutional policies in respect of employment, personnel, wages and salaries are translated into good management practices
Recruit competent personnel needed for the administration of the RRCs; and maintenance of good workplace interactions
Regularly updates the records of each staff, monitors posting and keeps personal history of each employee
Responsible for the promotion, transfer and general welfare of the staff including issues of compensation and fringe benefits
Implements human resource policies and programmes as stated in the government legal instruments
Regularly submits reports to the Coordinating Director on all field activities, projects and organization issues related to human resources;
Appraises the performance records of each staff and uses the result to enrich training schemes and staff competencies
Makes available services and facilities necessary to support operation of the RCC’s and
Performs any other official duties pertaining to human resources management, improvement and development in the RCCs
Required Skills or Experience
A Masters Degree in Human Resources Management, Social Sciences, Administration or an equivalent subject
A minimum of twelve (12) years relevant working experience
Excellent interpersonal relations, communication skills and a strong knowledge of the Ghana Labour laws; and
Be a member of a recognized professional body
