As part of its efforts to promote improvements in its delivery, it is looking for suitably qualified senior and executive level banking professionals.

Job Description

The Role:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the person will have overall responsibility for the management, growth and performance of the corporate banking performance of the corporate banking function includes business banking, large corporate, institutions, etc. The position holder is expected to anchor our strategy in this area and develop new corporate business relationships

Key Reponsibilities include:

Develop and implement business strategy and monitoring mechanisms
Spearhead the marketing effort and deepen the corporate franchise to grow the portfolio both in terms of volume and value
Maintain a strong business network and relationships with key clients
Maintain appropriate business risk assessments and management and keep within credit policy guidelines for the entire corporate portfolio
Strenthen the control, compliance and service regime to world class standard
Assist the bank to provide seamless financial services and solutions to all corporate clients across the entire spectrum of client possibilities
Required Skills or Experience

Profile:
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications/competencies:

First Degree plus MBA in Finance or equivalent professional qualification with 10 years experience (with at least 5 years in similar or related role)
Excellent knowledge/understanding of economic climate, trade finance, business acquisition and portfolio management
Considerable knowledge/understanding of credit policies/procedures and other regulatory requirements
Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making ability
Well developed strategic orientation with competitive awareness/benchmaking and ability to identify opportunities in a fast/dynamic market
Good knowledge of banking operations/products and experience of dealing with wide spectrum of clients at branch level
