Job Title: Onboarding Project Lead

Job Summary

The Onboarding Project Lead will play a critical project management and liaison role between MFS Africa’s technical and operations teams on the one hand, and those of our partners – principally mobile network operators, money transfer companies, and banks. The Onboarding Project Lead will be responsible for ensuring that services launch according to agreed timelines, and therefore must make sure that all parties are aware of the requirements of all other parties and are equipped to meet them. This requires constant communication and very strong “people skills”. It is critical that the Onboarding Project Lead be capable of holding business and semi-technical discussions in both English and French.

This position is based in Accra.

JOB ACTIVITIES

• Serve as primary point of contact for MFS Africa partners regarding service launch plans
• Liaise with MFS Africa’s technical team to create and provide timelines to partners; ensure that partners understand actions required to meet timelines
• Liaise with MFS Africa’s compliance and finance team for pending items from partners and follow up for quick resolution
• Assist MFS Africa’s support team with escalations regarding partners
• Organize and lead UATs (user acceptance tests), coordinating teams from both MFS Africa and the partner company to test each service thoroughly before it is launched
• Continuously follow up with partners regarding outstanding actions on active projects
• Report regularly to MFS Africa management and partner leadership teams on progress, highlighting any bottlenecks, constraints, or issues to escalate

YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU

• Have a tertiary degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or a relevant field
• Have 4+ years in an operational role, experience in project management strongly preferred
• Have demonstrated organization and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment with limited supervision
• Have strong analytical and problems solving skills
• Are achievement-orientated and results-driven
• Wield razor-sharp focus and attention to detail
• Are extremely patient, determined, and diplomatic
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
• Get bored with the corporate environment and crave new challenges
