The Ministry of Energy has secured funding from the World Bank for the oil and Gas Capacity Building Project. To ensure a successful implementation of project plan as specified in the contract:
Coordinate and supervise the implementation of all project activities and assistance provided by other bilateral donors financing parallel activities of the project, as well as future assistance for capacity building
Manage the activities and staff of the PUC and ensure timely progress reporting to the high-level Project Steering Committee
Salary & Allowances: Negotiable
Required Skills or Experience
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications and experience:
At least a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Public Administration, Management or any other relevant discipline
At least fifteen (15) years post-qualification experience and extensive knowledge and experience in Project Management
Knowledge of World Bank’s guidelines and procedures in procurement and financial management
Good leadership skills
Excellent, communication skills, including report writing and meeting presentations; and
Good networking and negotiating skills
Ability to provide Leadership for staff
Self motivated
Ability to work extra hours and also with little supervision
Must be able to implement decisions and achieve result on time
Ability to write good reports, review and analyze reports
Ability to use computers and Office software package (MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc) knowledge of the e-use of web based systems
