The European Union has given support to the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) for the 2012 presidential and parliamentary elections, and the NCCE announces the recruitment for a three period of the project personnel listed below:

Job Purpose:
To manage and ensure the implementation of the project in line with prescribed policies for the achievement of set objectives.

Job Summary:

  • To provide leadership for the coordinated implementation of the project activities and carry out day to day management of project office
  • To assess and make recommendations on requests for payments and countersign all payments
  • To compile periodic narrative reports from various activity reports and submit as required
  • To oversee the compilation of financial reports and facilitate the expenditure verification
  • To liaise with the National Authority Officer and the Governance Section of the EU Delegation in Ghana on matters concerning the project
  • To promote visibility, and oversee evaluation, of the project
  • To maintain contact with manager of other elections related projects to build synergies

 

Required Skills or Experience

Advertisement
  • Should have up to a Masters Degree in any of the following: Development Studies, Governance, Conflict Management, Business Administration, Social/Political Science, or Public Policy. Formal training in project management is an advantage
  • Should have some experience of project management and a good knowledge and understanding of the donor/development partner environment
  • Must have ten (10) years work experience with up to five (5) years in a similar position
  • In addition to managerial and team building skills, the candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Conflict management skills and advance knowledge of Word and Excel will be an advantage. A candidate with experience in European Development Fund (EDF) is an advantage
