We are the National Council for Tertiary Education, established by Act 454, 1993 as a supervisory body of Tertiary Education in Ghana.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ghanaians for consideration for appointment as Senior Budget Analyst at the National Council For Tertiary Education (NCTE).

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Budget Analyst

The Organization

The National Council for Tertiary Education (NCTE) was established by an Act of Parliament (Act 454) of 1993. The functions of the council are stated in the Council’s enabling act. The mission of the council is to provide leadership in tertiary education by advising government and tertiary education institutions on policies and regulation of tertiary education in Ghana.

The Position

The Senior Budget Analyst shall be responsible to the Executive Secretary of Council for:

•   All budget-related functions / activities of the Council including budget preparation for the tertiary education sector
•   The preparation of budget reports of Council
•   The supervision of staff of the Budget Section
•   Any other functions that may be assigned by the Executive Secretary

Qualification Required & Experience

The candidate must:

•   Hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in either accounting, finance, business, commerce, economics or related disciplines
•   Membership of a professional accounting body will be an advantage
•   Must have a minimum of six (6) years post qualification working experience in a senior management position in a tertiary education institution / sector, civil or public service
•   Have wide experience and knowledge in budget policy, preparation and monitoring
•   Preferably not be more than 50 years
•   Be skillful in the application of computer and accounting software
•   Be a team player, enthusiastic, self-motivated and confident and enjoy working to tight schedules
•   Preferably not be more than 50 years

Term of Appointment

•   To be determined by the council
