In 2010, iDE began working in Ghana to enable farmers’ access to improved irrigation techniques that allow for farming in the dry season, leading to increased incomes and food security. Today, iDE is also increasing access to sanitation and hand washing.

Job Description

Job Title: Supply Chain Coordinator (SCC)

PROJECT OR DIVISION: Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)

REPORTS TO: Supply Chain Manager (SCM)

LOCATION: Based in Tamale, with frequent day and/or overnight travel to rural areas across the Northern, Upper East & Upper West Regions

PURPOSE
The Supply Chain Coordinator (SCC) coordinates the supply chain and oversees processes to its completion. The SCC ensures that products are installed on time and at the agreed cost to customers. Shall be involved in transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of products delivery. Shall track feedback from customer response to SCM.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager (SCM)

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES- Modifications may be made at any time

  • Use MIS systems to manage stock and production levels
  • Ensure that Toilet Business Owners (TBO) receive, log, and install orders
  • Control and manage delivery times and transport costs
  • Use information systems to coordinate and control order cycle
  • Use data from MIS systems to evaluate performance and to plan improvements
  • Allocate and manage Toilet Business Owners’ (TBO) resources according to changing needs
  • Liaise and negotiate with customers and concrete producers on timely installation
  • Analysing logistical problems and produce new solutions
  • Implement health and safety procedures
  • Support production team in training and onboarding TBOs..

Required Skills or Experience

  • Graduated from with diploma in Economics or Supply Chain
  • At least 2 years work experience in warehousing, storage, retail, finance or administration
  • Available for regular travel within assigned provinces
  • Experience working in rural areas and with rural communities is an asset
  • Knowledge in WASH is an asset
  • Excellent spoken and written English and ability to speak any of these languages:  Dagbane, Daagare and Gruni.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Holds a Valid Motorbike License and capability to ride a motorbike
