Job Description

Job Title: Accounts Manager

Role and Responsibilities

• Document and test accounting and financial reporting controls to ensure accurate and efficient maintenance of proper accounting books.
• Coordinate qauterly reviews of financial reporting activities
• Liaise with the internal control and compliance manager to review controls by all departments for efficient and effective operations
• Analyse and interpret financial information required for senior and executive management to make sound business decisions
• Coordinate and ensure preparation of monthly financial reports, including consolidated financial statements and cash flow statements.
• Perform research on technical accounting issues required to keep the company up with current standards
• Safeguard the health of the assets and resources of the unit at all times

Qualification Required & Experience

• At least Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Qualified member of a recognised professional body (CA, CIMA, ACCA)
• 5 years experience in a similar role
• Audit background is a plus
• Ability to apply Project Management principles (PMP will be an advantage)
• Ability to handle large amounts of data
• Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
